TIPPING FAMILY
We have been able to trace Sarah Tipping's family back through Matlock parish register also with help from a descendant in Britain of Lawrence Tipping b 1789 and descendants of German b1791 from Australia. Wills of Robert in 1612 and Thomas in 1617 have been searched. Robert estate was valued at 96 pounds 10 s and 9d and he left his farm to his eldest son Godfrey while his second son was to inherit from his Uncle Thomas. Thomas lived in the adjoining parish of Matlock and paid a lease on Hascom Lees, otherwise known as Ansley Riddings on Masson Hill , in the area now known as Matlock Bath.
